VALLEJO, CA : Man dies after low-speed crash in Vallejo on Saturday, 3rd September 2016
A 67-year-old Vallejo man died in a crash Saturday night that may have been caused by some sort of medical emergency, police said Sunday in press release.
Police responded at approximately 9:56 p.m. Saturday to a crash on the 300 block of Illinois Street and found the unresponsive man behind the wheel of a westbound Dodge Caravan that had collided with a parked car.
Officers investigated and concluded that he apparently had a medical emergency causing him to collide with a parked car at the south curb, police said. The collision happened at a low rate of speed and there was minor damage to both vehicles.
Emergency medical personnel responded and transported the driver to a local hospital, where he died. The cause of death was not yet determined. The man’s name was not released.
