A two-vehicle collision briefly blocked state Highway 19 at Egg and I Road, and one driver was transported to a hospital.
The collision occurred just after 5 p.m. Tuesday about 12 miles south of Port Townsend, according to a memo from the State Patrol.
Amanda L. Svoboda, 39, of Port Ludlow was driving a red 2014 Ford Escape SUV northbound on Highway 19 when she slowed down to turn left onto Egg and I Road, troopers said.
Her car was struck from behind by a black 2019 Kia Sorrento SUV driven by Corrina L. Boyd, 42, of Poulsbo, troopers said.
Svoboda’s vehicle came to a stop on Egg and I Road while Boyd’s SUV continued into the southbound ditch and rolled onto the driver’s side.
Boyd was transported in an ambulance to Jefferson Healthcare hospital, according to the State Patrol. A Jefferson Healthcare nursing supervisor said Wednesday that Boyd was treated and discharged.
