Wichita, KS : Two hurt in crash during trooper pursuit of vehicle on Tuesday morning, August 12, 2014

Two people were injured in a crash northeast of downtown Wichita as they fled law enforcement officers late Tuesday morning, authorities said. A Kansas Highway Patrol trooper attempted to pull over a vehicle on northbound I-135 at about Central at 11:37 a.m., a highway patrol dispatcher said. The vehicle did not pull over, however, and the chase extended to Ninth and Green, where the vehicle being pursued crashed. One person was taken to Wesley Medical Center for treatment, a Sedgwick County dispatcher said. Another was taken to Via Christi Hospital St. Francis.
