Kossuth County ,IA : 49- Years old Scott Alan Baker killed and another injured in head-on collision along US Highway 18 on Wednesday ,April 22 2015

One person was hurt and another was injured in a head-on collision two miles east of Whittemore on Wednesday.

An eastbound Toyota Camry driven by Scott Alan Baker, 49, of Fenton, crashed head-on with a westbound Dodge Ram pickup on U.S. Highway 18 near 40th Avenue about 7:45 a.m., according to an Iowa State Patrol crash report.

The collision was in the westbound lane, troopers said.

Baker was killed. The driver of the pickup, Lavon Kruse, 55, of Lone Rock, was flown by helicopter to Mercy Medical Center--North Iowa.

She was transferred on Wednesday afternoon to Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.
