STATEN ISLAND, NY : Car jumps median after crash on Verrazano on April, Friday 14th 2017

An accident on the lower level of the Staten Island-bound Verrazano-Narrows Bridge left a car with two wheels hanging over the median.

The incident occurred not far from the Belt Parkway entrance.

Accounts from the scene indicate a sedan's front and rear driver's side wheels both jumped the approximately three-foot high concrete median which separates eastbound and westbound traffic.

The wheels are on top of the median, while the car's passenger side tires remain on the ground.

Emergency officials are on the scene.

Delays should be expected as a result.
