ARUNDEL, ME : A Kennebunk man has died on Wednesday, June 21, 2017

A Kennebunk man has died after being thrown from his vehicle in a single car crash on Sinnott Road Wednesday night.

York County Sheriff William King said deputies responded to the accident at approximately 9 p.m. on Sinnott Road in Arundel. Austin Cole, 20, was driving his Hyundai four-door sedan north on Sinnott Road toward Biddeford when he lost control and struck a tree. The impact caused the vehicle to bounce off the tree and roll over. Cole was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, King said.

A person who lives nearby had heard a loud crash and went to investigate, King said, contacting authorities after finding the overturned vehicle.

Authorities say no other vehicles were involved in the crash. King said preliminary investigation shows speed may be a factor. The crash is being reconstructed with the assistance of Westbrook Police Department.

Family members of Cole have set up a Go Fund Me page, www.gofundme.com/austin-cole-funeral-expenses, to assist with funeral expenses.

“He left behind his mother, father, stepmother and sisters, grandparents, aunts, uncles and many cousins, as well as a significant other and many friends. He was an amazing, kind hearted, fiery man, and will be missed by all of us,” according to a post on the Go Fund Me page.
