BLUE ASH, OH : 2 cars crash into semitractor-trailer on southbound I-71 in Blue Ash on Thursday, February 16th 2017

A serious crash involving two cars and a semitractor-trailer injured two drivers on southbound I-71 just south of I-275 around 2 a.m. Thursday.

Police say one car rear-ended the truck before the second car rear-ended it. Crews remained on scene several hours extracting the first car from underneath the truck. Two lanes of traffic remained blocked until 5:45 a.m.

The two injured drivers were taken to Bethesda North Hospital. The traffic division of the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department is handling the investigation.
