GWINNER, ND : Oakes man killed in crash on May, Saturday, 13th 2017

An Oakes man died over the weekend when the sport utility vehicle he was driving rear-ended a tractor pulling a disc plow.

The Highway Patrol says the crash happened on state Highway 13 near Gwinner about 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Thirty-nine-year-old Oscar Castro died at the scene from head injuries.

The tractor driver wasn’t hurt. He also wasn’t cited because the patrol says the farm equipment had the required lighting.
