Nashville, TN : Biker hurt in crash on Campbellsville Highway Saturday evening on September 27, 2014
The driver of a motorcycle crossed the center line on Campbellsville Highway Saturday evening before colliding with a car, Tennessee Highway Patrol Sgt. Bill Miller said Monday via email.
Evan Laray Rector, 27, of Brentwood, was traveling southbound on a Kawasaki EX5 about 5:15 p.m. Saturday, according to the report.
Miller’s report stated that Rector “failed to negotiate a curve and crossed the center line entering the northbound lane.”
According to the report, a Mercedes C2K driven by Scott Allen Thornton traveling northbound swerved to avoid a collision with the motorcycle.
The motorcycle struck the sedan in the left front fender and door area, the report stated.
Miller stated that Rector was in critical condition when he was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville Saturday, but that he cannot comment any further on injuries sustained in the accident.
Neither Thornton nor the passenger in his vehicle, Wanda Lynn Thornton, were injured, according to the report.
