1A Hillsboro Police patrol officer crashed into a woman on a bicycle Friday afternoon, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.

The woman suffered some bumps and bruises in the crash, and deputies say she was taken to the hospital for an evaluation.

The sheriff’s office is investigating to find out who was at fault in the crash.

The crash happened just after 3:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of 8th and Washington Street.

Hillsboro Police said the patrol car didn’t have its lights or sirens on at the time, and it was a low-speed crash.
