Ocala, FL : Dunnellon man dies in single-car crash in southwest Marion County early Sunday, August 14, 2016
A 34-year-old Dunnellon man died early Sunday in a single vehicle accident in southwest Marion County, according to a press release from the Florida Highway Patrol.
The FHP release states that Alejandro Juarez-Santiago was traveling south on County Road 475A in the vicinity of the 2400 block around 1:36 a.m. when the 2004 Ford F-150 he was driving “failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and drove onto the south grass shoulder.”
The release states after Juarez-Santiago corrected to the left, he then “overcorrected to the right” and lost control of the truck. The truck again went onto the grass shoulder, struck a fence and collided with a tree before stopping in a driveway.
Juarez-Santiago was pronounced dead at 1:50 a.m. by a paramedic.
The release listed no passengers and indicated that Juarez-Santiago was not wearing a seat belt.
