Sidney ,ME : Tractor-trailer crashes, spilling lumber on I-95 on Wednesday Morning ,July 29th 2015

A tractor-trailer truck hauling 90,000 pounds of lumber crashed on Interstate 95 Wednesday morning, dumping its load.

The crash happened in Sidney at 5:45 a.m. near mile 115 marker northbound, according to Maine State Police.

Police said the driver likely fell asleep, causing the truck to go off the road and crash into a rock ledge.

Nearly all of the wood broke loose from the truck, which was destroyed in the crash.

Police said the driver was not hurt.

One lane was closed for several hours while crews cleaned up the mess.
