JACKSONVILLE, FL : Driver identified in fatal crash off St. Johns Bluff Road on April, Friday 14th 2017
A 72- year-old Jacksonville woman who was killed in a crash Friday afternoon has been identified as Alnora Chisholm, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Chisholm was the passenger of a 2014 Volk Jetta that was knocked off St. Johns Bluff Road and into a pond.
From witness accounts, it appeared that a crash with an SUV pushed one corner of the car into a pond just after 4:30 p.m. on St. Johns Bluff at Bradley Road.
A spokesman for the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said a good Samaritan got a child out of the car.The child and the woman who was driving the car were seriously injured, and the child was taken to UF Health Jacksonville by air ambulance, Fire Rescue said.
Two people in the SUV suffered minor injuries and were also taken to UF Health.
All northbound lanes of St. Johns Bluff Road were closed from Alden Road to Interstate 295 because of the crash, police said.
The Florida Highway Patrol was called to investigate.
