Morgan Hill, CA : Woman dies after motorcycle crash on Friday September 26th 2014.

A 29-year-old Morgan Hill man was arrested in connection with a motorcycle accident that killed his 23-year-old passenger. Steven Lacerda, was riding his 2002 Suzuki motorcycle at 55 mph northbound on Condit Road approaching Diana Avenue when he went off the roadway and hit a fire hydrant, severing it in half and shooting water 30-40 feet in the air. The Friday morning crash threw Lacerda onto the roadway and his passenger, Leeanne Seward, of Morgan Hill, into a dirt field. Lacerda suffered minor injuries, but Seward was found unconscious in the field suffering from major head and internal injuries. She was air lifted to San Jose Medical Center where she died Sunday.
