LEHIGH ACRES, FL : Woman killed in crash when driver runs stop sign on April, Monday 3rd 2017

A 25-year-old Lehigh Acres woman was killed Monday when another driver ran a stop sign.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that Chloe Ackerly was driving south on Williams Avenue when the driver of a pickup failed to stop at a stop sign at West 9th Street and ran into the driver's side of Ackerly's car.

Ackerly died at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt.

The pickup's driver, Donald Frankle Jr., 54, of Lehigh Acres, was taken to Lehigh Regional with minor injuries.

Charges are pending, according to FHP.

The crash happened shortly after 1 p.m.
