A mother and son were taken to the hospital after their car fell down an embankment on I-85 in north Charlotte.
The car drove off the road near I-85 exit 48 towards I-485 Saturday afternoon and fell about 15 feet down a hill.
Police on scene say the driver of the vehicle had some sort of medical episode related to her diabetes while driving, causing her to lose control of the vehicle.
According to medic, the two were taken to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte with minor injuries.
