Watervliet, NY : Industrial accident kills one in Watervliet Township on Tuesday, 16th August, 2016

One man died in an industrial accident that occurred in Watervliet Township, according to the Berrien County Sheriff's Department. The accident occurred at 8901 Industrial Park Drive shortly before 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to police reports.

Police were called to the scene and found that two workers fell when scaffolding and ladders collapsed. One of the men, Carl Lee Stone, of Hartford, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second man, Joshua Stone, was transported to Lakeland Hospital for treatment.

The accident is still under investigation, according to police.
