Elmore County, AL : Man with local ties dies in bicycling accident on Alabama 143 near mile marker 16, which is near Deatsville on Sunday, 19th January, 2020

A former Valley resident died in a traffic accident on Sunday in Elmore County.

Scot Guy Angus, 61, of Wetumpka was riding a bicycle on the roadway when he was struck by a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer.

Angus was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The accident occurred on Alabama 143 near mile marker 16, which is near Deatsville. The accident remains under investigation.
