A rural Oswego man died Thursday of injuries suffered in a one-vehicle accident south of Parsons.
The Labette County Sheriff’s Department was notified at 4:33 p.m. Thursday of a one-vehicle injury accident on Pratt Road south of 21000 Road (two miles south of Southern).
Upon arrival, emergency responders discovered a 1998 Ford Ranger on its side in the east ditch. The driver, John B. Dickerson, 53, of rural Oswego, was found a short distance south of the vehicle. He had been ejected.
Dickerson was treated and then transported to Labette Health by ambulance. He died at the hospital, according to a release from the sheriff.
The accident remains under investigation.
