Jackson, MS : One person killed in vehicle hit-and-run crash on Friday,February 5 2016

Jackson police are investigating a deadly hit and run.Twenty-seven year old Chermen Lowe was walking with 20-year-old Ledarius Burks Thursday night on McDowell Road. Officer Colendula Green tells us around 11:30 they crossed the road and were waiting in the middle turn lane when the were hit by a vehicle from the eastbound lane. Police believe it may have been a S-U-V.
Burks has a broken leg. Lowe died Friday morning in a Jackson hospital
