Oskaloosa , IA : Two people killed after pickups collided at intersection in Mahaska County on Sunday ,May 17th 2015

The Iowa State Patrol says two people have been killed in a Mahaska County collision.

The accident occurred Sunday about four miles south of Oskaloosa. The patrol says a northbound pickup failed to halt at a stop sign and collided with another pickup in the cross traffic.

The patrol identified the fatalities as 24-year-old Eric Hansen, of Oskaloosa, who was driving the northbound pickup, and his passenger, 24-year-old Megan Moser, of Winfield.


The patrol says the two people in the other pickup were hospitalized. The driver was identified as 24-year-old Scotty VanPolen and his passenger as 27-year-old John VanPolen, both of Fremont.
