SOUTHAVEN, MS : Pedestrian hit, killed on Interstate 55 on Saturday, 22nd October 2016

A person was hit and killed during a crash on Interstate 55 in Southaven, Mississippi, according to Southaven Police Department.

Investigators said the crash happened around 7:50 p.m. at I-55 and Rasco Road. The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police are not releasing the identity of the victim until next of kin has been notified.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
