Williston,ND: One dead in highway crash on November, Friday 3rd 2017

A 51-year-old woman from Idaho died Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 85 in McKenzie County, police said.

A report from the Highway Patrol says Allen F. Parkinson, 52, was driving east on the highway when he lost control of his SUV, which spun into the westbound lanes about four miles west of Arnegard.


Parkinson’s vehicle was hit on the passenger side by a westbound SUV driven by Duane P. Lindgren, 64, of Minnesota. The impact spun both vehicles, which came to rest upright on opposite sides of the highway about 1:20 p.m., police said.

Parkinson’s passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released by authorities.

Parkinson, Lindgren, and his passenger, Joy Lindgren, 61, were injured and taken to the McKenzie County Hospital, the report says.
