PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL : 2 dead in violent crash in Palm Springs on Tuesday, 1st January 2019

According to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol, one of the victims in the crash was identified as 30-year-old Shane Almost Longwell of Lake Worth. Longwell was a passenger in a 2004 Nissan Sentra, driven by a man who has not yet been identified. Both were killed in the crash.

Another passenger in the vehicle was identified as 30-year-old Harrison James Serrano of West Palm Beach. Serrano suffered minor injuries.

The driver of a 2010 Jeep Wranger, 22-year-old Jonathan Gonzales of West Palm Beach, suffered minor injuries.

According to the release, alcohol played a role in the crash.
