Washington ,DC : 26- Years Old Nancy Tinoza killed after hit a parked tractor-trailer at 3400 block of Eastern Avenue NE on Sunday morning, March 22nd2015

Zimbabwean Nancy Tinoza, 26, of Arlington died after the crash early Sunday morning. Police said that the actions of the driver, Momodu I. Bello of Fort Washington, led to her death.

D.C. police said in a statement that Bello was driving a red 2015 Volkswagen Passat very fast on the 3400 block of Eastern Avenue NE at about 3:12 a.m. He hit a parked tractor-trailer.

Tinoza was transported to a hospital, where she died.

Bello and a second passenger were also hospitalized with minor injuries, police said. Both were treated and released, and Bello was then arrested.

Police spokesman Paul Metcalf said he could not say why Bello was charged with murder. He also would not say whether alcohol was involved in the crash.

According to her LinkedIn page and websites about awards she won, Tinoza was born in Harare, Zimbabwe, and won numerous academic awards during her education there.

Through an organization that places Zimbabwean students at American universities, Tinoza attended the College of Wooster and graduated in 2012.
