Jonesboro, AR : Paragould man died after truck collided with the car in Craighead County early Monday morning, March 14, 2016

Police say a Paragould man died Monday in an early-morning crash in Jonesboro.

Eric Pate, 28, died as a result of the crash, according to a Jonesboro Police Department crash report.

Police state Pate was pulling out from the driveway of Fuji Japanese Steak House, 2810 E. Highland Dr., in a four-door Pontiac G6 around 5:40 a.m. At that time a Freightliner truck was westbound on Highland in the left lane with the right of way.

The truck collided with the car on the driver's side and Pate was killed, according to police.

The driver of the truck was treated and released at the scene.

No charges have been filed in the incident.

The crash is still under investigation.
