Janesville , WI : Illinois man killed in I-39 crash near Janesville on Sunday , 14th 2015
An Illinois man was killed in a crash on Interstate 39 near Janesville Sunday morning, according to a release from the Wisconsin State Patrol.Investigators said that at about 8:20 a.m. a semitrailer was in the right lane of northbound I-39 when it wdrove through the median and into the right lane of southbound I-39.A pickup driven by Terry Sportsman, 34, of Sycamore, Illinois, was in the right lane of I-39 and was struck on the left side by the semi, according to the State Patrol. Both vehicles went into the right ditch of southbound I-39.Sportsman was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi, David V. Juneau, 65, of South Dakota, was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Janesville with non-life-threatening injuries.The Janesville Police Department, Janesville Fire and EMS, Rock County Sherif Office and Rock County Highway Department assisted at the scene.
