PATERSON, NJ : Dunkin’ Donuts worker struck, killed by van in drive-thru on Thursday, November, 16th 2017
Police in New Jersey say a Dunkin’ Donuts employee has died after he was struck by a van in a drive-thru.
WABC-TV reports the crash happened around 7 p.m. Thursday at the Paterson Dunkin’ Donuts near Route 20. Police say a van passing through the drive-thru lane struck 65-year-old Jose Furtado as he was sweeping up leaves.
Furtado was rushed to a local hospital where he later died.
Police say the driver stayed at the scene. No charges have been filed.
The owners of the Dunkin’ Donuts say they have closed the shop and are in mourning.
Police are reviewing surveillance video from the crash.
