Willcox,AZ : Driver cited in rollover accident on August, Thursday 10th 2017

According to a Safford Police report, a man identified as Randy Escobedo was westbound in a gray Jeep SUV when he attempted the turn onto 20th Avenue. He was hit on the passenger side by an eastbound car, a white Nissan. His SUV then rolled over, coming to rest in the southbound lane of 20th Avenue.


Escobedo reportedly suffered only minor cuts and scratches, and the second driver, identified as Randy Coons, appeared unhurt.

According to witnesses, the left turn arrow went from yellow to red as Escobedo made the turn. Escobedo reportedly tried to hurry through the intersection, but was T-boned by the Nissan. One witness said the latter vehicle seemed to have the right of way.

Escobedo was cited by Safford Police for failure to yield.
