TROUTMAN, NC : Two injured in crash involving dump truck, car in Troutman area on Wednesday, 14th September 2016

Two people were injured Wednesday in a vehicle accident involving a dump truck in the Troutman area.

The crash happened just after 3 p.m. near the intersection of Perth Road and Fern Hill Road. Officials have not given many details about the accident, but confirmed two people were taken to Iredell Memorial Hospital from the scene.

The patients, whose names have not been released, were reportedly in stable condition.

From WBTV's Sky3, it appeared the dump truck and a four-door car collided. Both vehicles were off the roadway, the dump truck into the treeline, and appeared to be heavily damaged.

Investigators have not said what may have led to the crash or if any charges are being filed.
