FRESNO COUNTY, CA : 1 killed, 1 hospitalized following crash in Fresno County on Wednesday, 31st January 2024

One person has died following a crash in Fresno County early Wednesday morning.

The California Highway Patrol says it happened just outside the city of Parlier, on Manning and Riverbend Avenues.

Officers say a Jeep Cherokee was speeding west on Manning, and unsafely cut off a Honda Civic.

The Jeep clipped the front of the Honda, causing the Jeep to spin out of control from the westbound lane into the eastbound lane.

The Jeep struck a Honda Accord head-on, causing that Jeep to overturn and erupt in flames.

The driver of the Jeep was pulled out from the fiery crash by the driver of the Honda Civic and was taken to the hospital.

Each driver was traveling solo.

Officers believe speed was a factor in the crash.
