Tallahassee, FL : A 91-year-old woman was killed in a car crash on Friday, September 15, 2017

A 91-year-old woman was killed in a car crash Friday morning in Windermere, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Irene Clark of Orlando was driving eastbound on Westover Roberts Road near Florida’s Turnpike about 9:40 a.m. and stopped at an intersection with a flashing red light, FHP Sgt. Kim Montes said.

Another vehicle — driven by Adrian Gonzalez, 55 — was heading southbound on Apopka Vineland Road, which had flashing yellow lights. Witnesses said Clark turned left to join the northbound traffic and Gonzalez’s car hit the left side of her vehicle.

Gonzalez suffered minor injuries. Montes said the crash is still under investigation.
