Waianae, HI : Farrington Highway reopens in Waianae following critical motorcycle crash on Thursday, 22nd November 2018

Police reopened Farrington Highway in both directions shortly after 9 tonight. It was closed earlier in the evening due to a critical motorcycle crash in Maili.

The crash occurred at about 6:10 p.m. on Hookele Street, and the motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, reportedly was not wearing a helmet at the time, an Emergency Medical Services report said.

Paramedics treated the man for injuries to his head, shoulders, hip and legs and took him to a hospital.

Both directions of Farrington Highway were closed between Hakimo and Mailiili roads until around 9 p.m., police said.
