Marengo Township, MI : Battle Creek man struck, killed after car-deer accident on Interstate 94 in southern Michigan on Saturday, November 8, 2014

Authorities say a 54-year-old driver has died after striking a dear along Interstate 94 in southern Michigan and being hit by another vehicle after he got out of his car. The Battle Creek Enquirer reports Carl Bolden of Battle Creek was killed in the Saturday crash in Calhoun County's Marengo Township. State police say Bolden's vehicle struck a deer and the car stopped in the left lane of the highway. Bolden left the vehicle and was standing nearby in the median when he was hit by a swerving vehicle. The driver and passengers in that vehicle weren't injured. The crash is under investigation.
