ROANOKE COUNTY, VA : 67-year-old Roanoke woman dies in Catawba Valley Drive crash on Tuesday, 26th January 2021

A 67-year-old Roanoke woman died in a crash early Tuesday morning in Roanoke County.

At 7:06 a.m., a 2005 Dodge Caravan was going north on Catawba Valley Drive, approaching Bradshaw Road, when a 2011 Acura MDX hit the minivan from behind, which caused the minivan to hit a 2013 Chevy Malibu, according to police.

The Dodge then ran off the right side of the road, down an embankment and overturned in the creek.

The driver, Charlsie “Janie” Jane Peters, was not wearing a seat belt, according to police, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
