TAMPA, FL : 5 killed in Hillsborough Co. early-morning crash on Sunday, 29th October 2023

State Route 674 in Hillsborough County has reopened after being shut down in both directions after an early-morning crash left five dead Sunday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 7 a.m. when a Toyota Tacoma, driven by a 29-year-old Bowling Green man traveling westbound on SR-674, entered the eastbound lanes near Balm Wimauma Road for an unknown reason.

FHP said as the Tacoma entered the eastbound lanes, the vehicle collided with a Chevy Silverado, driven by a 42-year-old man from Wimauma, head-on.
