Sacramento, CA : Pedestrian fatally injured in Arden Arcade collision on February, Thursday 1st 2018

A 32-year-old Sacramento woman died Thursday evening when she was struck by a car at El Camino Avenue and Bell Street in the Arden Arcade area.

The collision occurred about 6:10 p.m. as the woman and her fiance were walking northbound across El Camino Avenue. The woman was struck by a white Honda Civic traveling eastbound on El Camino, said Officer Amy Walker, California Highway Patrol spokeswoman.

Walker said the woman was walking ahead of her fiance, and they were crossing against a “don’t walk” signal and a red light. The motorist, she said, had a green light.

The driver of the Honda, the only person in the vehicle, immediately stopped and remained at the scene.
