Olive Township, MI : Woman injured in one-car crash on U.S. 127 near Alward Road on Wednesday, May 4, 2016

A woman was hospitalized in critical condition after a one-car crash on U.S. 127 near Alward Road about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the Clinton County Sheriff's office, the 51-year-old woman was the only occupant of the vehicle, which was southbound. It went off the roadway and crashed into the center support pillars for the Alward Road bridge.

The woman is from the St. Johns area, authorities said. The crash remains under investigation.
