MUNDY TOWNSHIP, MI : Rollover crash closes lanes on I-75 in Mundy Township on Friday, 5th January 2024
A Gaylord woman died and a man was injured in a crash on I-75 near Hill Road in Mundy Township on Friday morning.
Police say a 28-year-old woman from Gaylord was driving a Pontiac Grand Prix north on I-75 when she went off the freeway and the car overturned around 8:40 a.m., according to the Metro Police Authority of Genesee County.
The Grand Prix came to a stop on its roof in the median of I-75.
The woman, who police did not identify, was pronounced dead on the scene. Her 29-year-old male passenger from Gaylord was transported to an area hospital, where he was listed in good condition Friday afternoon.
All lanes of northbound I-75 and some of the southbound lanes were closed for a time while emergency crews investigated and cleared the scene. All lanes of the freeway reopened around 12:30 p.m.
