Yolo County, CA : Man injured in rural agricultural accident in the 20000 block of County Road 79 west of Capay on Friday, 30th October, 2020

A man was injured in an agriculture-oriented industrial accident Friday morning in rural Yolo County, according to the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office.

Lt. Matt Davis said the incident occurred shortly after 8:30 a.m. in the 20000 block of County Road 79 west of Capay, where two men were working with a tractor-mounted auger to dig holes for planting trees.“One of the individuals became entangled with the equipment and suffered a serious leg injury,” Davis said. “The victim was transported by helicopter to a local hospital.”

The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health was notified of the incident, Davis said.
