Sacramento, CA : Passenger seriously injured in 2-vehicle crash on I-75 in Estero on Monday, 7th November 2016
Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday night on Interstate 75 in Lee County.
Kumar Shalveen, 45, of Newark, California, was seriously injured in the crash, which occurred just after 9 p.m. north of Corkscrew Road exit 123 on I-75 in Estero, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.
Shalveen was a passenger in a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck driven by Pedro Luis Suarez, 32, of Naples. Suarez received minor injuries in the crash, but a second passenger, Michael Young, 32, also of Naples, was not injured. The driver of a second vehicle also was not injured in the crash, reports show.
Anastashya Andujar, 18, of Lehigh Acres was driving a Toyota Corolla iM hatchback northbound in the outside lane of the interstate when the front of her car struck the rear of the pickup. The crash caused the truck to rotate counterclockwise and cross the center and inside lanes and enter the median. The pickup began to overturn before striking the cable barrier in the median, the FHP reports.
