STAR CITY, IN : Logan man killed in US 35 crash on Sunday, September 10, 2017
A 24-year-old Logansport man was killed Sunday evening in a three-vehicle crash on U.S. 35 in Pulaski County, according to an Indiana State Police press release.
The crash occurred at about 5:23 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, at 6274 U.S. 35, between East 600 South and East 675 South, in Star City.
The ISP press release states that a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Bradyn Bordenet, 20, Lafayette, crossed the center line on U.S. 35, heading south in the northbound lane, and forced a 1930 Ford Model A off the road. The Cruze kept heading the wrong way on the highway and struck a 1994 Honda Civic head on, police say.
The driver of the Model A, Larry Williams, 67, Knox, lost control and rolled the Model A about three times. Williams, who was headed home after just purchasing the vintage car, was flown by medical hospital to a Fort Wayne hospital with serious injuries.
The Honda's driver, 24-year-old Antonio Arzola Junior, Logansport, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pulaski County Coroner's office. His family was notified, the release states.
Bordenet was flown by medical helicopter with serious injuries to a hospital in Indianapolis. The crash is under investigation and toxicology results are pending, according to the release.
Agencies assisting were the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department, Winamac EMS, Francesville EMS, Star City Volunteer Fire, Samaritan and the StarFlight medical helicopters.
