BLOOMINGTON, IL : 2 hurt in crash on West Market Street at the ramp to southbound Interstate 55 on Thursday, 6th February, 2020

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash shortly Thursday afternoon on West Market Street at the ramp to southbound Interstate 55.

Market Street's westbound lanes were closed for a time after the 1:45 p.m. crash but were later re-opened to traffic, said Bloomington police spokesman John Fermon,

Two people were transported to a hospital, according to the Bloomington Fire Department.

The injuries appeared to be minor, with one person receiving cuts and the other person complaining of abdominal pain, Fermon said.

A door on one of the vehicles had to be cut open, he said.
