Salme, NH :Man arraigned on negligent homicide charges following fatal two-car crash on MOnday, June 22nd 2015

A 26-year-old Massachusetts man has been arraigned on negligent homicide charges relating to a fatal two-car crash in southeastern New Hampshire.Michael Gomez of Lowell, Massachusetts, appeared before a Salem judge Monday morning. He's accused of driving too fast when he hit 33-year-old Phillip Carter's car June 16 on Route 28.
Carter's Honda Civic was split in half and he was thrown from the vehicle. Carter later died from internal injuries at Massachusetts General Hospital.Defense lawyer Ryan Russman says they have to learn more about what happened. He says he thinks Carter crossed into Gomez' path.Gomez was held on $100,000 cash bail in Salem District Court.
