Seymour, IN : 1 dead after crash involving semi-truck in Seymour on Tuesday morning, April 4, 2017

One person was killed and three others injured after a minivan crashed into a semi-truck on Interstate 65 South at Seymour Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred after another crash at 7 a.m. involving two semi trucks that backed up the freeway, according to the Indiana State Police.

The second accident, which happened because of the traffic backup, occurred near the 48-mile marker.

The interstate was closed because of the accidents early Tuesday but opened later in the afternoon. The Indiana State Police said the accident is still under investigation.
