Bremerton, WA : A 24-year-old Taurus was injued in a three-vehicle crash at Highway 3 On Friday, July 1st, 2016
A 24-year-old man was taken to Harrison Medical Center on Friday night after a three-vehicle crash on Highway 3, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The crash occurred just before 11:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the highway just north of Kitsap Way, according to a memo from the State Patrol. A driver in a 2003 Ford Taurus and another in a 2002 Volkswagen Passat
pulled over from the highway onto the left shoulder to allow a fully-marked state patrol vehicle with its emergency lights flashing to pass. As the two cars moved back onto the highway, a 2013 Kia Optima pulled into the same
lane of travel.
The Kia crashed into the Taurus and the Passat. A passenger in the Taurus, 24, was injured and taken to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton.
One lane of the highway was closed for two hours following the crash. Everyone involved in the crash was wearing their seat belt. There were no citations immediately issued, and the crash remains under investigation,
according to the State Patrol.
