SALT LAKE CITY, UT : 62-year-old man killed in crash in Liberty Wells neighborhood on Sunday, 15th September 2024

Police say a 62-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash late Sunday in Salt Lake City, and officers are investigating whether a medical episode caused the crash.

The crash occurred at 11:25 p.m. Sunday near 900 E. Blaine Avenue when the man's vehicle struck an unoccupied parked car, according to a press release from the Salt Lake City Police Department. Police arrived at the scene and found the man dead.

The man was the only occupant of the vehicle, and no other injuries were reported.

Officers are still investigating the cause of the crash, but "detectives are investigating whether a medical episode may have occurred before the crash," according to the news release.
