Rutland,VT : Car wrecked near mall, no one hurt on October, Thursday 26th 2017
A classic car was destroyed in a crash near the Diamond Run Mall on Thursday afternoon, according to police.
Vermont State Police said Ronald Black, 56, of Rutland, was driving his 1966 Chrysler New Yorker west onto Route 4 from the Rutland Town mall at around 2:30 p.m. when he failed to obey a traffic signal.
Xavier Salazar, 40, of Cohoes, New York, was westbound on Route 7 in his 2017 Toyota RAV 4 and ran into Black’s rear left quarter.
Police said neither man was hurt, but the Chrysler was a total loss and the Toyota sustained significant damage to the front end.
