Wichita, KS : One critically hurt in early morning crash in southeast Wichita on Sunday, 14th February 2021
One person is critically hurt in a crash involving an off-duty firefighter.
The crash happened around 5:40 Sunday morning near K-15 and I-135. It is not immediately clear if the off-duty firefighter was the one hurt. Investigators on scene would not tell us what happened.
However, an incident report from the Kansas Highway Patrol says two trucks were going south on K-15 when a man in a Chevy Silver ado changed lanes in front of a Honda Ridge line. The report says the driver of the Ridge line tried to avoid the Silver ado, but lost control and spun. The two trucks then collided.
The 45-year-old of the Silver ado was taken to the hospital for treatment.
