ATTLEBORO, MA : There were no serious injuries in simultaneous multi-car crash on Tuesday, June 13, 2017

There were no serious injuries in simultaneous multi-car crashes on Interstate 295 Tuesday just as rush hour began.

The crashes occurred on I-295 north just prior to the off ramp to I-95 south around 3:30 p.m.

One crash involved two vehicles and a second involved three, said fire Lt. John Buckley.

He said it’s not known if the accidents were related, but they happened near each other.

Attleboro and North Attleboro firefighters responded to the the scene along with state police.

At least two people were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, he said.

He described the injuries as “moderate.”

One person was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital. Traffic was restricted to one lane as firefighters and police worked to treat the injured and clear the road.

Buckley said all vehicles were towed from the scene.
